We specialize in fleet management and offer comprehensive mobility services for government organizations and businesses across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our years of experience have been an integral part in the operation of key players in industries like Oil & Gas, Logistics and FMCG. Mr. Abdullah Mubarak Baarmah

Chairman

Mr. Baarmah started his career in banking as a futures trader with the National Commercial Bank’s Treasury division in 1994, going on to hold various positions in the division. He was Head of the Global Fixed Income Department at NCB Capital, followed by his appointment to the SEDCO Capital Board in 2010 and later as Chairman of AutoWorld. Mr. Baarmah has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Portland.

Waleed Bin Mohamed Bin Salem Bin Mahfouz

Mr. Waleed joined AutoWorld as a Member of Board of Directors with long experience in financial & administrative management, overseeing and managing new projects, and supervising feasibility studies. He is a Member of Board of Directors of different well-known organizations in addition to the above such as Okaz, a Member of Hospitality Committee at JCC, and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Board of Trustees of Salem bin Mahfouz Foundation.

Mr. Waleed holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Portland State University – U.S.A.

Mr. Bassel Hamwi

Board Member

Mr. Bassel Hamwi is the Head of the IFC MENA Fund with 30 years of experience in financial markets, banking, investing and management. He was Founder and CEO of Bank Audi Syria and served as Deputy Chairman of the Damascus Securities Exchange. He has been an International Board Member of YPO since 2018 and sits on several other boards.

Bassel holds an MBA in International Finance and a BBA in Business Computer Information Systems and Organizational Management from the University of North Texas and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Education Program in Leadership as well as Singularity University.

Mr. Ossama Banaja

Ossama Banaja joined SEDCO Holding in 2021 as Chief Direct Investments Officer. He has 16 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, during which time he has managed a variety of principal investments and served in several strategic roles. Most recently, Ossama was the Director of Local Holdings Investments at the Public Investment Fund (PIF), where he was responsible for developing greenfield investment strategies in new sectors within KSA. Prior to joining PIF, Ossama was Vice President of Private Equity at Jadwa Investment, where he led multiple transactions and post-acquisition value creation programs for private equity funds. Prior to that, he worked at Partners Group as AVP of Private Equity, where he led the due diligence for multiple co-investment deals. Ossama is currently serving on multiple boards and executive committees, including Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO), Pharmaceuticals Investment Company, Uptown Jeddah Company, Red Sea Cruise Company, and Noon (e-commerce). Ossama holds an MBA from New York University.

Mr. Simon Palethorpe

Mr. Simon has been a non-executive Director of SEDCO since 2019. He has more than 28 years’ experience in management consulting, supply chain management, and marketing in the business service and retail sectors. Mr. Palethorpe is currently President of Cunard Line, the iconic luxury cruise operator. Mr. Palethorpe worked at a number of other international companies, including ATG, Terra Firma Capital, and Avis Europe. Mr. Palethorpe holds an MA and BA in Engineering, Economics and Management from Pembroke College, Oxford University, UK.
